1. Are you pleased with your painting? why / why not?

I think that I am very pleased with my artwork because it is painted properly.

2. What did you find easy when you created your painting?

I found rubbing out the grid easy.

3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your painting? -think about painting, ruling up the grid, measuring, using the co-ordinates, etc.

What I found tricky was measuring the grid  properly.

4. Who / What helped you when you were painting?

Miss Paton, Miss Nichol and Angel.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: colours, painting, ruling up, etc.

I would take my time while I am painting and I will not rush.

6. What frustrated you when you created your painting?

While I was painting I got frustrated because I didn’t paint in the lines.

This is me running away from a volcano that has erupted. When I was running away the lava caught up to me and it was really hot but I still kept on running.

Should we wear a School uniform at Panmure Bridge School?

Should students at Panmure Bridge School wear a school uniform? I think that students should wear a school uniform at Panmure Bridge School.

Because it respects our school

I believe that we should wear a school uniform at Panmure Bridge School because if you are in a accident and you are wearing your school uniform people will know what school you come from.  Because my teacher Miss Paton told the class a story about when she was in high school and a sixth form student was cycling to school and she collided with a bus and a truck.  She instantly died.  The bus driver and the truck driver and other witnesses knew which school she came from by looking at her uniform. If she wasn’t wearing her school uniform it would be harder for all people involved.

I believe that we should wear a school uniform because.

If your best friend came to school and wore Nike shoes and you are pressuring your parents to buy labeled clothing or shoes and they may not be able to afford it.  

But if you get a school uniform it may cost money but it’s worth it.  Also if you do get a uniform people won’t bully you.

They won’t try to steal your clothes and no one will feel unwanted and no one would feel like they don’t belong.  It would be equality

  If your school uniform is made out of hardwearing materials thats good because its materials that can make you warm if it was cold. If you wore mufti to school it wouldn’t last as long as you think it would. Also uniform material can not rip, and you won’t ruin your home clothes if you get dirty.  

Uniforms show pride in people and that is why I think that we should wear a school uniform. These are all my reasons on why we should wear a school uniform.

Today I learnt about two digit numbers. This is the problem I had to solve 54 and it was 5 tens and 4 ones. This is the symbol 50 + 4 =  54.

Reflecting on my Silhouette Painting

1. Are you pleased with your Silhouette painting? why / why not?
Yes, because my sunset stands out. Also the blending colours in my picture are very awesome. I also love my artwork because my elephant really stands out.






2. What did you find easy when you created your silhouette painting?
I found the sunset pretty easy because we had to fold our papers in quarters and when we painted it, it was really easy to blend the paint.




3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your Silhouette painting? -think about blending of colours, tracing round your animal and painting within your animal.
I found tracing the animal pretty hard because when you trace your picture and then take it off its sort of hard to try and see what you’ve traced.

4. Who / What helped you when you were painting?
Miss Paton with my artwork by explaining how to do the artwork.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: blending of colours, animal choice, presentation.
I could work on taking my time when I paint my shadows.

6. What frustrated you when you created your Silhouette painting?
I was frustrated because I was rushing to get my work done.

Hi my name is Samantha.
I am 10 years old and my teacher is Miss Paton.
This is my first year in Room 5. In my spare time I like to play hand games with my friends and play on the computer at home.
My favourite food is butter chicken.
My favourite move is Alvin and the Chipmunks Chipwrecked.
Over the holidays I went to a place called Dunkirk Activity Centre and when I got there we went on a trip to the Maritime Museum in the city. When we got there we went in this big yacht and then we sailed on the harbour.
In room 5 I would like to complete my work on time this year and to get lots of blog posts up onto my blog.
