My Adventure to Eastern Beach

On the 27 of February the whole school went to Eastern Beach for a picnic. When I arrived at school Miss Paton was calling out the roll
finally we lined up outside and started walking down the school drive way. When we were down the drive way we had to wait for the bus. It was late. We were waiting for ages. It took a while but the bus finally arrived. Everybody shouted !!HOORAY!! with happy voices. Room 6 walked on the bus first then it was Room 5 my class I was sitting next to my friends Liantre and Angel. Finally we were at Eastern Beach. I was so excited. I nearly ran off but I didn’t. I stayed with the group me and Angel were standing together in line together.
When we were told to sit down and have our morning tea I was eating my cookie yum yum. Then it was time for
Mr Johnston to do the safety rules. After Mr Johnston finished telling us the safety rules we were able to play. Me and Angel were playing together we didn’t know what to do, so we went to sit down with Angel’s auntie. We were sitting in the shade, there was a nice breeze coming our way. Finally Mr Johnston called out the first class for swimming. Room 1 were to go into the water for a swim. We were waiting for ages but then it was Room 5’s turn to swim. I didn’t go for a swim because I didn’t fell like it. I was playing on the sand and watching my class go for a swim. I was building a sandcastle with a moat filled with water and windows. I thought it was awesome, unfortunately my class had to get out. Finally my auntie and my baby cousin arrived. I ran up to my baby cousin and gave him a big hug. I went to go and sit down with them. They
bought chips, drink, rolls. The rolls had chicken and ham. they were delicious. I also had my school lunch. My baby cousin was walking around everywhere. I went to go and see Taryn and Alazay they were making a mermaid in the sand. It looked really cool then my friend Fine came. Alazay let me name the mermaid, so I used all of our names and named it Alazay Daphne Matilda Edwards. After we made the mermaid we decorated it with earrings and a sandy belt. It looked really awesome and then I went to sit down with my baby cousin. 1 hour later sadly it was time to go. I said bye to my baby cousin and went with my class. I went to line up. I sat at the back of Taryn. Miss Paton was calling out the roll to check if everybody was there. Miss Paton asked who wanted an apple.The whole class put their hands up including me. I went to say bye to my family. We had to walk down the road to get to the bus. Finally we reached the bus it was time to go. I had a really great picnic.

My Fantastic Time At Eastern Beach. By Asmah

On Monday February 27th, I was sound asleep just as I was going to go have the best dream. Then my mum woke me up and said Asmah time to go to school. Oh mum do I have to, Yes she said don`t you want to go on the trip. What trip? I said. “The Eastern beach trip” my mum said. I quickly jumped out of my bed and quickly got dressed. I ran as fast as I could to school. I was worried that the teachers and the students already went to Eastern beach with out me.


When I reached room 5, I was amazed that I was early. I hung my bag and sat down on the carpet. Soon Miss Paton did the roll. After Miss Paton did the roll she took out a clip board from her bag. Soon everybody lined outside.

Next the whole school was waiting at the drive way for the bus. The bus took forever, then a few minutes we saw a bus but that was not the school bus . I felt like the bus would never arrive. Finally the bus came, when I got up my legs were in pain.
Soon we reached Eastern beach. Then Ms Kirkpatrick and Mr Johnston told whole school where we were allowed and how far we are allowed in the water. Ms Kirkpatrick also told us that there is another school here.

After Ms Kirkpatrick and Mr Johnston finished talking we had our morning tea. Next rooms 1, 2,3 and 4 went in the water first for a swim. Then Mr Johnston said “Room 5 time to do life jackets with Mr Nepia”. The water was so cold that it felt like ice blocks. My brother and I was not allowed to swim in the water.


When we finished doing the life jackets we went swimming. It was Room 6`s turn. Mr Johnston got in a kayak and went in the water so the students wouldn’t go too far. Mr Johnston explained how to put on the life jackets on.

Soon it was lunch time, I had a healthy burger. Next I played volley ball with Nicky and Katareana. Then I played on the trees and then I played bob it with Dallas, Nicky, Katareana and my little brother.

Soon it was time to go back to school. I had a fantastic time at Eastern beach with my friends and my little brother.

Eastern Beach here we come: Nicola

Eastern Beach here we come! On Monday February 27th 2012 our whole entire school dressed in their best mufti (for a sunny day! and a trip). When I woke up I had to get my togs and towel ready for the big day ahead of me. So I had my breakfast and quickly walked to my school. I saw Candice and Kyra, they were really ready for a beach. Wow, I started to see everyone in the school. The bell rang I was so happy and excited because I had no idea what was going to happen. As I walked to class I saw my teacher Miss Paton. She was wearing a bright pink T shirt and shorts! I wondered whether it was her style. When it was time to go I felt as if I needed to pinch myself. Ohh Man! The bus was late! The whole school had to wait around 15 minutes. I wasn't that disappointed because I had Asmah to talk to. A lot of people saw a bus go by, and everyone had thought that it was the bus for us to go to the Beach. Guess what? It turns out it wasn’t ours. (I knew that). At last the bus has arrived! I was so excited to go on it. I haven’t been on one with a CLASS for a long time. I was glad that I got to sit next to Asmah. I got to see the green grass, all of the trees and.... Another school! I thought we’d have the beach to ourselves. Mr Johnston gave some instructions as to “We are not allowed to go past the bathrooms.” Then we could have some morning tea, and play all around! I loved my Marine Mix, it was delicious. Our teacher Miss Paton kept moving to one spot to another, I was like “come on!” Soon I started to climb a tree. I saw my friend, Katareana and I started to talk with her. Finally! It was time to swim only our class had to use life jackets. Oh no, my life jacket didn’t zip up. Miss Paton had tried but maybe not hard enough, Mr Johnston had tried, it worked! Brrrrr! The water was freezing cold! After a long time I got used to the water. Mr Nepia was saying to us “Try to float and kick backwards.” I did. It was like floating on fluffy clouds, although I’ve never felt that before. After a long learning session, all of Room 5 got to swim with out the life jackets. Later on I saw Katareana, my friend. We swam and also talked. It was too salty for me so I got out and got changed, I think I took 10 minutes, but I don’t know why. After I got changed I played with a frizz bee, played Volleyball soon I started to play with another friends bop it, my Katereana came and asked me “ Why did you get out of the water?” I said “ It was too salty” She joined in with Bop it! A lot of kids joined in Manley girls! Mmmn I’m Hungry, I ate the rest of my lunch. I guess all of the girls and I must of spent a long time with the Bop it. Soon it was time to go on the bus. Before everyone left I climbed the tree again. I was doing that before Mr Johnston talked. I then heard Mr Johnston speak his last words. Room by room at a time they went and we went on the bus. When we went Asmah and I heard someone FART! EEW. We went on the bus in the same place. As we got to school our class had to think of some words that best describe the trip we just went on. I has so much fun on the trip!

My Time at Eastern Beach By Caleb

When we at Eastern Beach Tim, Quaid and me were playing T’ball.Tim and I were playing tag. Then Mr Johnston said the Eastern Beach but there was a problem. The bus came late, Miss Paton was worried. We saw my aunty and uncle’s houses on the way there and on the way back.
Wow it was a good day I hope I could go back with the school again.

The Eastern Beach Picnic By Tim

On Monday 27th February Panmure Bridge school went to Eastern Beach. I felt thrilled that we were going to Eastern Beach. I was so tired waiting for the bus to arrive. We arrived at Eastern Beach at 10 am. Eastern Beach was fun. Eastern Beach has a shiny sea and it has lots of trees. I went Eastern Beach with my class and the whole school. We went to Eastern Beach because to have a fun day out. The juniors had their swim in the shiny sea first. After that it was time for morning tea and I had a banana for my morning tea. Then it was time for the seniors to swim in the sea. Later on it was lunch time and I ate all my lunch. Then I played volleyball with Ohhsen,AJ and Sylis. After I ate my fruit I played some games with room eight. Finally it was home time and the whole school went on the bus to go back to school.

Eastern Beach Trip

On Monday February 27th the whole of Panmure Bridge School went to Eastern Beach. The start of the day was great until... the bus was late! I was confused but eventually we got there. We had a yummy snack and classes put their bags under the shade of trees. After that Tevita brought a rugby ball and we boys played an exciting game of touch. All the classes were getting called up to do the life jacket drill, I knew that our class was next. Then Mr. Johnston said

“room 5 come to the beach for your life jacket drill”. I quickly raced

over to my togs. I was as quick as a Ferrari to get in the water and put my life jacket on, but “Aahhhhhhhhhhhhhh”! The water was as cold as ice blocks, and I kept spitting water out of my mouth, every ten seconds.With my life jacket on I and some other people were going out far in the ocean until we got to the teachers canoe. Mr. Johnston told our class to get out of the freezing water. I started playing touch again but this time Mr. Nepia was playing. He should be in the All Blacks because he’s got skills. Ohhh it was time to go now I was tired and wanted to go to sleep on the bus. The racket of people talking kept me awake. I went to sleep early that night and felt great the next morning.
